Carole Eisner Statement
Summer 2006 |
| |
In the creation of monumental outdoor sculpture, I hope to engage
the viewer in the beauty of the material combined with the power
of abstract forms as they appear in space. The rich patina of
rusted steel is often lacquered to reflect the warmth of it's
color and the surrounding natural light. When not lacquered,
the raw, rusting steel pigment imparts a soft texture to the
work, belying the permanence and strength in the unyielding
nature of steel.
