From a background in clothing design, having won the Mademoiselle Annual Merit Award in design, to a sculptor in metal was a seamless transition for Ms. Eisner. Both mediums have the components of line, texture, pattern and a 3-D elements.
She will have a solo exhibition in France this summer at the Chateau Fontaine-Henry in Normandy. Her public work can be seen locally at Veteran's Park and Cranbury Park, both in Norwalk, CT and Lenox, MA at Shakespeare and Company. Recently, Eisner has created a new body of work, formed of rolled I-beams. The first of these sculptures was shown at the Chesterwood Museum in West Stockbridge, MA and purchased by the city of Hartford, CT for a waterfront park. Carole Eisner lives and works in Weston, CT and New York City.
